Nicole worked as a Family Solicitor for over 15 years. She is also a Mental Health First Aider and a Bereavement Volunteer with Cruse, the national bereavement charity.
This has also provided me with a great insight into the loss and grief process. This is an issue which is largely swept under the carpet by society today, but which greatly affects people. It also needs to be borne in mind that a loss can be of anything, not just someone's death. The loss of a job, a home, a relationship breakdown, or a friendship can all hit us hard as well. With the current pandemic people have experienced a lot of losses, not least the loss of loved ones in very upsetting circumstances, but also the loss of interaction with people, and their freedom.
Nicole believes her journey to becoming a counsellor has also led her to gain great personal insight and grow as a person. She is someone who believes in working in partnership with her clients to help them achieve their goals.
